Where Can I Find?

For my first post, I thought I’d give a little explanation as to why I’m doing this and how it will work. I’m doing this because I enjoy the opportunity to show people the wilderness world that awaits for them, if they choose to accept the invitation. I’ve spent the last 20+ years working as a whitewater rafting guide, so I’ve spent a good portion of my life being outdoors and teaching people about the natural world they inhabit. I’ve thought of ways I could do this outside of being on the river and I think I’ve found the answer. I realized that I couldn’t actually have the public follow me around, so I came up with the concept of “Tag Along With Zack”. Basically, the world can Tag Along on any adventure I should choose to share, whether it be photography in the Tetons, or digging for topaz in Utah. This site is about a couple of things, exhibiting my photography and poetry, giving basic lessons on geology(and other subjects) through examples in the real world, and sharing a bit of the siren song of nomad life. I will jump around quite a bit with the photos and poetry, but the geology posts will follow somewhat of a theme. I want to create the base of knowledge so that anyone who reads my posts can understand the information, having had no geology education before. I do hope you all find some humor, some knowledge, and some inspiration in my posts. Feel free to Tag Along anytime!
